Treatment Fees

Service

Psychological intervention/treatment funded under NDIS (The clinic can only accept Plan and self-managed NDIS clients) 

Description

50 minute sessions with a psychologist accessed under NDIS funding.

Cost

$240 - for appointments that occur between 9AM – 5PM)

$260 – for appointments that start before 9AM or end after 5PM.

Please note ‘after hours’ appointments incur an additional $20 fee

Rebate?

Fees covered by NDIS with self-managed clients able to claim the full amount of the session back and plan managed clients having their invoices sent to their plan manager. PsychSpan is not equipped to see agency managed NDIS clients.

Description

50-minute sessions with a clinical psychologist accessed under a Medicare referral, Private Health fund, or Private fee.

Cost

$240 - for appointments that occur between 9AM – 5PM)

$260 – for appointments that start before 9AM or end after 5PM.

Please note ‘after hours’ appointments incur an additional $20 fee

Rebate?

$141.85 under a Medicare referral.

Contact your private health provider for details regarding rebate rates. You cannot receive private health rebates if you are using a Medicare referral.

No rebates available for private fee clients.

Description

50-minute sessions with a General Psychologist accessed under a Medicare referral, Private Health fund, or Private fee.

Cost

$200 - for appointments that occur between 9AM – 5PM).

$220 - for appointments that start before 9AM or end after 5PM.

$96.65 under a Medicare referral.

Contact your private health provider for details regarding rebate rates. You cannot receive private health rebates if you are using a Medicare referral.

No rebates available for private fee clients.

Lego and Social Skills Groups 

Description

Lego and Social skills groups are small groups with no more than 3-4 participants.

Cost

$100 per session

Rebate?

Small groups conducted by a psychologist may be able to be covered by NDIS subject to your plan stipulations and funding.

Description

WPPSI-IV (Up to 7 years), WISC-V (7–18 years) or WAIS-IV (Adult).

A comprehensive report and feedback session is included in the cost of the assessment.

$1300 for a child, $1600 for an adult.

Non-Verbal Cognitive Assessment

Description

Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability (WNV) (4-22 years).

A comprehensive report and feedback session is included in the cost of the assessment.

Academic Achievement Assessment

Description

Cognitive assessment (WISC-V or WAIS-IV) and WIAT-III. This assessment explores the appropriateness of a Specific Learning Disorder.

A comprehensive report and feedback session is included in the cost of the assessment. If a cognitive assessment has already been completed in the last two years please contact the office for details/costings of doing a WIAT-III individually.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment for child/young adult

Description

ADOS-2 Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition – with child/young adult being assessed.

A clinical interview with parent or caregiver, and other assessment questionnaires (e.g. SRS-2, Vineland-3) will be completed.
A comprehensive report and feedback session are included in the cost of the assessment.

$2,000 (A cognitive assessment, if required will cost an additional $600)

Rebate?

Some rebates available with referral from paediatrician if under 13 and has had no previous ASD assessment.

Description

Description

Clinical interview and CAARS (self and observer reports for adults) or Conners - Third Edition, (parent and teacher responses for children). All ADHD assessments include a cognitive assessment.

$1300 for a child, $1600 for an adult.

Service

School observation 

Description

School observations can be arranged as part of assessments or to inform clinical care depending on the school and psychologists availability. The fee relates to schools within a 10 minute drive of the clinic. Schools observations further afield must be arranged with the psychologist in question and a travel fee may be applicable.
